Display connection

Postby G8NOP » Fri 26 Jul 2019 21:39

HI,
I now have a 2.6" Serial:UART/I2C/SPI IPS Super TFT LCD 320x240 display.
As it arrived with no spec sheet I would appreciate a photo of its connections to the MinitiounerPro V2 board. I gather that in one of the photos on the forum the connections are shown incorrectly.

Hi on the display you have to make an solder bridge betwen iC2 dots
on Minitiouner pcb there are several sockets you can use i use the one on the side of Tuner. Look at the socket its printed
GND,VCC,SDA,SCL you will se the same on the display
on display VCC, SDA,SCL, GND simple as that GLhttp://www.digole.com/index.php?productID=1271

Please can you tell me the right connection?
I have connected like this:

The VCC of the display to the VCC of the Minitiouner Pro2 Connector JP3
The DATA of the display to the SDA of the Minitiouner Pro2 Connector JP3
The TC/CLK of the display to the SCL of the Minitiouner Pro2 Connector JP3
The GND of the display to the GND of the Minitiouner Pro2 Connector JP3

i have made the bridge from the middle Pad and the Pad named I2C.
When i power up the Minitiouner Pro2 i can see the Display changing colors from
white to orange then to green and finally to blue.
Then it remains black with a light of white and can read on the top:

I2C Address: 0x27 V4.1V+2MB Flash

Please what am i doing wrong?
Thanks
Enzo

Hi Enzo,

All is OK.
Your Digole LCD seems to be OK, it displays all it must show when starting.
It is well connected to JP3

Now you must test it using "TestMyMiniTiouner".
