Adding software controlled 12V/18V HW to minitiouner V2?

Postby pe1mud » Sun 21 Apr 2019 08:25

Hi,

I have built a Minitiouner from parts I bought from batc and digikey. I am very impressed by the combination of this hardware in combination with the software (0.9), the perfect way the software scans for frequency, scans for carrier lock and scans for decoding with all its possible options. Really impressive work! This is what we were missing in serious DVB-S(2) DX work!

I have found -like all of you- that the 18V option isn't there. Now, I would like to know if it's possible to add the hardware and have it controlled via the software. I have searched the forum and I could not find this information. Does anyone know? Have I overlooked the info somehow?

My idea is to make small PCB's available (cost price) to add this option.

Any input is welcome.

Found it :o :oops: :oops:

The config file holds the setting.

Looks like this:

Code: Select all
; MiniTiounerV2_BATC extensions
[MiniTiounerV2]
; si vous avez ajouté un module avec le chip de gestion LNB RT5047 / if you have added a RT5047 module for LNB 13v 18v
; V2LNBmodule yes or no
V2LNBmodule= no

So, setting it to yes and simply adding the RT5047 then this should work. :mrgreen:

It's simpler than I imagined.
